Mina's Braided Hair Style

This is an embellished style that was inpired by the movie "Bram Stoker's Dracula. French side braids and a bow tie made out of rope braids were added to the style for more interest.

Step one. On each side of the head French braid a small section of hair over the ears. Take all the remaining hair in front and at the crown of the head and tie off with a rubber-band making a high ponytail. Make a rope braid out of the two outer side sections of the ponytail. Click here for instructions on making a rope braid. I pinned the rope braids off to the sides so you can see where to make these.

Divide the loose hair in the middle of the ponytail into three sections and braid. Once you have braid the three center sections braid those three all together and then carefully wind up and around to make a bun. Use hair pins to hold the braded bun.

Take the two rope braids and tie them into a bow under the braided bun and secure with a hairpin that is adorned at the end with a piece of ribbon. Take a large ribbon and tie it around the braided bun to hide the hair pins.
